My name is Berin Kinsman and I write books that don’t have pictures in them. I’m currently working on a novel and writing about the experience. Since 2014 I’ve lived in Jyväskylä, Finland with my wife, the artist and educator Katie Kinsman.
I’ve ghost-written a small handful of novels, but have yet to publish anything under my own name. You can read more about my current work in progress here. I enjoy reading the classics, and my favorite authors are Charles Dickens, Leo Tolstoy, and William Shakespeare. Favorite contemporary authors include David Mitchell, Jonathan Lethem, and Neal Stephenson.
Other things that I enjoy include being a minimalist, practicing Western Buddhism, and cooking for my wife. On the rare occasions that I leave the apartment, I like going to museums, people watching downtown, and feeding the local ducks.
